The Certified Payroll feature keeps a detailed audit trail of hours, rates, and wages paid by day and classification for each employee during a payroll cycle. The Certified Payroll Report prints as part of the Payroll pay cycle. The report can be set up to print more than once, and is formatted to be submitted directly to the US Department of Labor in lieu of the manually-prepared WH-347.

OPERATION:

The user specifies, by flagging both certified jobs and certified cost codes, which labor entries are to be included on the Certified Payroll Report. If both the job and cost code on a line of payroll entry are flagged as “certified,” the Payroll Data Entry program will prompt the user to enter the day (1-7 corresponding to Sunday through Saturday) on which the labor occurred.

The Payroll Tax Update will post the appropriate data to the Certified Payroll Report. If the user also has the Champ Systems Union Payroll enhancement, the extra union benefits will also post to that report.

The Certified Payroll Report prints as part of each payroll pay cycle, and can be set up to print more than one copy. The Certified Payroll module can be run with or without the Sage 100 ERP Job Cost module (please specify when ordering).
